A Very WIP

I'm usually not much of a WIP kind of guy, but...Techno Barbarian.

Still much to be done, but an encouraging first model after a long absence from the hobby. Very slow work.

Much more greenstuff to go, and waiting on a part or two.

The original model was obliterated to get to this point.

  1. Awesome! Can't wait to see more! I really have to get on making my own at some stage. Looks like fun! You seem to have had a jolly old (painful and time consuming) time hacking that Nurgle Lord apart. :P

    1. Oh, yes - The entire model was completely gutted, and cut up in five or six extra pieces than it originally was. At some point I'll start a thread on AmmoBunker and show more of the process.

  2. Hey that's a great start Odie! Look forward on seeing the development :)

  3. He looks absolutely great! Sculpting looks good and the head is a great addition!

    1. Thanks. It's so bare-bones at the moment, I hesitated to show anything. Still a lot of sculpting to do - the chest is still kind of a blob, and there's a big mohawk/mane to put on. Something extra needs to be done with the gun as well.

It's odd coming back to modelling after so long. I feel like I'm having to relearn the visual language, while at the same time trying not to just do what everyone else is doing with their models. It's like trying to write in an unfamiliar genre - you know how to write, but the syntax is different, and if you're not careful you'll create something that someone else has already done.
