TRUE-TrueScale Bolt Pistol Prop
Just because it's fun, here's a step-by-step build log for a scratch-built Bolt Pistol, from one of my favorite prop makers, Volpin Props.
The weight is off, but as for the size, I believe for a Bolt Pistol this is about as properly real-life true scale as you can get.

lovely looking prop.. interesting to read the tutorial too.. some folks are so talented ... i guess as much as experience having all the tools and a place to work comfortably is huge part of being successfully creative..
ReplyDeleteAn unfortunate truth I've learned over the years is that in addition to inspiration, talent, and drive, the element of opportunity (usually of the monetary, or plain dumb luck variety) plays a larger role in success than most Creators would like to admit. Lacking opportunity isn't an insurmountable obstacle, but yeah...having the space and tools to do your Art is a damned fine thing to have.
